Kabhi nah dekhi hogi zindagi mein aisi azmat tum ne
Koi aap kahe, phir tum se kahe, tum kaun ho

کوئی چراغ سر رہ گزر جلاتا جا

جو ہو سکے تو بدل اپنی زندگی کو ورنہ
نژاد نو کو طریق جنوں سکھاتا جا
دکھا کے جلوۂ فردا بنا دے دیوانہ
نئے زمانے کے چہرے سے نقاب اٹھاتا جا
بہت دنوں سے قلبِ زندگی کی محفلیں ہیں اداس

Koi chiragh sar rah guzar jalaata ja

Nazad-nau ko tareeq junoon sikhata ja
Dikha ke jalwa-e-firda bana de deewana
Naye zamane ke chehre se naqab uthaata ja
Bohat dinon se qalb-e-zindagi ki mehfilein hain udaas
Koi tarana, koi dastaan sunaata ja
