Urdu:

اداسیوں کے جال میں تنہا پھسے ہوئے ہیں
راضی نا کوئی کسی سے سب پتھر بنے ہوئے ہیں

بربادیوں کا زمانہ آگیا ہے مہر باں
نفرتوں سے دل اپنے مکمل بھرے ہوئے ہیں

اپنی خطا کی تلافی دوسروں پے خنجر چلائیں
اپنے سے کمزور کو بادشاہ بنے ہوئے ہیں

نفرتوں کو مٹا دے اس جہاں سے مولا
تیرے بندے ہی تیرے بندوں کے دشمن بنے ہوئے ہیں

دولت کے نشے میں نا مغرور ہو قاسم
دولت کے بادشاہ بھی زمیں میں دھسے ہوئے ہیں

Roman Urdu:

Udasiyon ke jaal mein tanha phasay hue hain,
Raazi na koi kisi se, sab patthar bane hue hain.

Barbadiyon ka zamana aaya hai meherbaan,
Nafraton se dil apne mukammal bhare hue hain.

Apni khata ki talafi doosron pe khanjar chalayein,
Apne se kamzor ko badshah bane hue hain.

Nafraton ko mita de is jahan se, Maula,
Tere bande hi tere bandon ke dushman bane hue hain.

Daulat ke nashe mein na maghroor ho, Qasim,
Daulat ke badshah bhi zameen mein dhasay hue hain.

Hindi:

उदासियों के जाल में तन्हा फँसे हुए हैं
राज़ी ना कोई किसी से सब पत्थर बने हुए हैं

बर्बादियों का ज़माना आया है मेहर बाँ
नफरतों से दिल अपने मुकम्मल भरे हुए हैं

अपनी ख़ता की तलाफ़ी दूसरों पे ख़ंजर चलाएं
अपने से कमज़ोर को बादशाह बने हुए हैं

नफरतों को मिटा दे इस जहाँ से मौला
तेरे बंदे ही तेरे बंदों के दुश्मन बने हुए हैं

दौलत के नशे में ना मगरूर हो क़ासिम
दौलत के बादशाह भी ज़मीं में धसे हुए हैं

Translation:

In the traps of melancholy, we find ourselves alone,
Contentment with none, everyone turned to stone.

The era of destruction has arrived, oh benevolent one,
Hearts filled completely with hatred are none.

Seeking retribution for our faults, we wield the dagger,
Overcoming our weaknesses, we reign as the swagger.

Eradicate hatred from this world, O Lord divine,
Your own devotees stand against your worshippers’ malign.

In the intoxication of wealth, be not proud, I swear,
Even the kings of wealth lie humbled on the ground bare.

Urdu:

وفا عطا ہو، دغا خطا ہو، یہی ہوا تو کمال ہوگا
نہی ملا گر، صنم صنم کو، برا ہی ہوگا، جو حال ہوگا

وفا ملی ہو، یہ سچ نہی ہے، یہ رسمِ دنیا چلے گی یونہی
اگر محبت میں نہ کوئ بے وفا ہوا تو سوال ہوگا

جدا ہوۓ گر، بنا ملے تو، نہ جی سکیں گے، نہ مر سکیں گے
نگر نگر میں پھرے گی میت حشر ہی میں، پھر وصال ہوگا

لکھا کرو تم، کہانی میری، بھلا چکے جو، مٹا چکے جو
پڑھو گے جو تم، جمال ہوگا، سنو گے جو تم، جلال ہوگا

بڑی ہو جتنی، کوئ ریاست،غرور سب کا ضرور ٹوٹے…
نہی ٹکی ہے، نہی ٹکے گی، عروج پہ ہے زوال ہوگا…

کہاں میں جاؤں، یہاں سے اٹھ کر، نکالا محفل سے ہے اسی نے…
پڑا رہونگا، اسی کے در پہ، کبھی تو قابل خیال ہوگا…

Roman Urdu:

Wafa ata ho, dagha khata ho, yehi hua to kamal hoga,
Nahi mila agar, sanam sanam ko, bura hi hoga, jo haal hoga.

Wafa mili ho, yeh sach nahi hai, yeh rasm-e-duniya chalegi yunhi,
Agar mohabbat mein na koi bewafa hua to sawaal hoga.

Juda huye agar, bana mile to, na ji sakenge, na mar sakenge,
Nagar nagar mein phiregi maut hashr hi mein, phir wasaal hoga.

Likha karo tum, kahani meri, bhula chuke jo, mita chuke jo,
Padhoge jo tum, jamal hoga, sunoge jo tum, jalal hoga.

Badi ho jitni, koi riyasat, ghuroor sab ka zaroor toote,
Nahi tikki hai, nahi tikayegi, urooj pe hai zawaal hoga.

Kahan mein jaoon, yahan se uth kar, nikala mehfil se hai isi ne,
Pada rahunga, isi ke dar pe, kabhi to qabil-e-khayal hoga.

Hindi:

वफा आता हो, धोखा खाता हो, यही हुआ तो कमाल होगा,
नहीं मिला अगर, सनम सनम को, बुरा ही होगा, जो हाल होगा।

वफा मिली हो, यह सच नहीं है, यह रस्म-ए-दुनिया चलेगी यूँही,
अगर मोहब्बत में न कोई बेवफा हुआ तो सवाल होगा।

जुदा हुए अगर, बना मिले तो, न जी सकेंगे, न मर सकेंगे,
नगर नगर में फिरेगी मौत हश्र ही में, फिर वुसाल होगा।

लिखा करो तुम, कहानी मेरी, भूला चुके जो, मिटा चुके जो,
पढ़ोगे जो तुम, जमाल होगा, सुनोगे जो तुम, जलाल होगा।

बड़ी हो जितनी, कोई रियासत, ग़ुरूर सब का ज़रूर टूटे,
नहीं टिकी है, नहीं टिकेगी, उरूज पे है ज़वाल होगा।

कहां मैं जाऊँ, यहां से उठ कर, निकाला महफ़िल से है इसी ने,
पड़ा रहूँगा, इसी के दर पे, कभी तो क़ाबिल-ए-ख़याल होगा।

Translation:

May fidelity be given, deceit may occur, if this happens, it will be perfection,
If not found, if the beloved betrays, it will be bad, whatever the situation.

If fidelity is found, it’s not true, this world’s tradition will continue as it is,
If no one is unfaithful in love, then there will be questions.

If separated, if reunited, we won’t be able to live or die,
In every street, death will wander in resurrection, then there will be reunion.

Write, my story, those who have forgotten, those who have erased,
When you read, there will be beauty, when you listen, there will be glory.

No matter how big, any state, everyone’s pride must break,
It’s not stuck, it won’t stick, on the rise, there will be decline.
