وہ جو تقدیر میں لکھے نہیں ہوتے
انہی کی آرزو کو “عشق” کہتے ہیں
Roman Urdu:
Woh jo taqdeer mein likhe nahi hote
Unhi ki arzoo ko “ishq” kehte hain
Hindi:
वो जो तक़दीर में लिखे नहीं होते
उन्हीं की आरज़ू को “इश्क़” कहते हैं
English Translation:
Those who are not written in destiny,
It is their longing that we call “love.”
Urdu:
دیوانگی نے خوب کرشمہ دکھائے ہیں
اکثر ترے بغیر بھی ہم مسکرائے ہیں
Roman Urdu:
Deewangi ne khoob karama dikhaye hain
Aksar tere baghair bhi hum muskuraye hain
Hindi:
दीवानगी ने खूब करिश्मा दिखाए हैं
अक्सर तेरे बिना भी हम मुस्कुराए हैं
English Translation:
Passion has shown its magic,
Often, even without you, we have smiled.
Urdu:
جو کہا تھا تمہیں سنا بھی تھا
آزمانا نہیں کہا بھی تھا
میرا ملنا نہیں ہوا لیکن
میں تو اپنی طرف گیا بھی تھا
عشق ہوتا ہے مانتا ہوں میں
مجھ کو اک بار ہوا بھی تھا
یہ سزا جو بھگت رہے ہو تم
کیا حقیقت میں کچھ کیا بھی تھا
میرے مرنے کا کیا ہوا مطلب
اس کا مطلب میں جیا بھی تھا
تم تو زندہ ہو اب تلک پیارے
زہر کو ٹھیک سے پیا بھی تھا
Roman Urdu:
Jo kaha tha tumhe suna bhi tha
Aazmana nahi kaha bhi tha
Mera milna nahi hua lekin
Main to apni taraf gaya bhi tha
Ishq hota hai, manta hoon main
Mujhko ek baar hua bhi tha
Yeh saza jo bhugat rahe ho tum
Kya haqeeqat mein kuch kiya bhi tha
Mere marnay ka kya hua matlab
Is ka matlab main jiya bhi tha
Tum toh zinda ho ab tak pyaare
Zehar ko theek se piya bhi tha
Hindi:
जो कहा था तुम्हें सुना भी था
आजमाना नहीं कहा भी था
मेरा मिलना नहीं हुआ लेकिन
मैं तो अपनी तरफ गया भी था
इश्क़ होता है, मानता हूँ मैं
मुझको एक बार हुआ भी था
ये सज़ा जो भुगत रहे हो तुम
क्या हक़ीक़त में कुछ किया भी था
मेरे मरने का क्या हुआ मतलब
इस का मतलब मैं जीया भी था
तुम तो ज़िंदा हो अब तक प्यारे
जहर को ठीक से पिया भी था
English Translation:
What I said to you, I had heard too,
But did not say to test you.
My meeting didn’t happen, yet
I had moved towards myself.
Love happens, I admit,
I experienced it once.
This punishment you are enduring,
Did anything really happen?
What is the meaning of my death?
It means I truly lived.
You are still alive, dear,
Even the poison was properly drunk.
Urdu:
اک پاکیزہ محبت کے ساتھ
تمہارا ساتھ چاہوں جنت تک
Roman Urdu:
Ik pakiza mohabbat ke saath
Tumhara saath chahoon jannat tak
Hindi:
एक पाकीज़ा मोहब्बत के साथ
तुम्हारा साथ चाहूं जन्नत तक
English Translation:
With pure love,
I wish for your companionship until paradise.
Urdu:
جب عشق سکھاتا ہے آداب خود آگاہی
کھلتے ہیں غلاموں پر اسرار شہنشاہی
Roman Urdu:
Jab ishq sikhata hai adab khud aagahi
Kholte hain ghulamon par asrar-e-shahenshahi
Hindi:
जब इश्क सिखाता है आदाब ख़ुद आगाही
खुलते हैं ग़ुलामों पर असरार-ए-शाहेंशाही
English Translation:
When love teaches the etiquette of self-awareness,
The secrets of kingship unfold upon the slaves.
Urdu:
بربادیوں کا اپنی ہمیں کوئی غم نہیں
رسوائیاں تو تم نے بھی پائیں پیار میں
یہ عشق خاکسار، وہ حسن انا پسند
بگڑے کہیں نہ بات اسی خلفشار میں
کیسے سنائیں حال کسی درد مند کو
لب بند ہو گئے میرے وفا کے حصار میں
ایوبؔ، بے وفا سے امید وفا نہیں
دامن بچائے کانٹوں سے رکھے بہار میں
Roman Urdu:
Barbadiyon ka apni hamein koi gham nahi
Ruswayiyan to tumne bhi paien pyaar mein
Yeh ishq khaaksaar, woh husn anapasand
Bigade kahin na baat is khilfashar mein
Kaise sunaye haal kisi dard mand ko
Lab band ho gaye mere wafa ke hisaar mein
Ayyub, bewafa se umeed wafa nahi
Daman bachaye kaanton se rakhe bahaar mein
Hindi:
बर्बादियों का अपनी हमें कोई ग़म नहीं
रुसवाइयाँ तो तुमने भी पाईं प्यार में
ये इश्क़ खाकसार, वह हुस्न अनापसंद
बिगड़े कहीं ना बात इस खिलफ़शार में
कैसे सुनाएँ हाल किसी दर्दमंद को
लब बंद हो गए मेरे वफ़ा के हिसार में
अय्यूब, बेवफा से उम्मीद वफ़ा नहीं
दामन बचाएं कांटों से रखे बहार में
English Translation:
The ruins bring us no sorrow,
Even you have faced disgrace in love.
This love is humble, that beauty proud,
Let nothing worsen in this chaos loud.
How can I share my state with one who hurts?
My lips are sealed within loyalty’s fort.
