Hum to fida hain aapki aankhen dekh kar
Na jaane woh aaina kaise dekhti hogi
Hindi:
हम तो फिदा हो गए हैं उनकी आँखें देख कर
न जाने वह आईना कैसे देखती होगी
Translation:
We are captivated by looking into her eyes
Who knows how she sees herself in the mirror.

منزلوں کا کون جانے، رہ گزر اچھی نہیں
اُسکی آنکھیں خوبصورت ہیں، نظر اچھی نہیں
Roman Urdu:
Manzilon ka kon jaane, reh guzar achi nahi
Uski aankhen khubsurat hain, nazar achi nahi
Hindi:
मंजिलों का कौन जाने, राह गुज़र अच्छी नहीं।
उसकी आँखें खूबसूरत हैं, नजर अच्छी नहीं
Translation:
No one knows the destination; the journey is not pleasant
Her eyes are beautiful, but the gaze is not pleasant.
Urdu:
یہ جو تو ہے، اُسکی آنکھوں کی رنگت کا معنی نہیں جانتا
اے دوست یہ کہانی ہے اور تو بس کہانی نہیں جانتا
Roman Urdu:
Yeh jo tu hai, uski aankhon ki rangat ka maani nahi jaanta
Ae dost, yeh kahani hai aur tu bas kahani nahi jaanta
Hindi:
ये जो तू है, उसकी आँखों की रंगत का मानी नहीं जानता
ऐ दोस्त, ये कहानी है और तू बस कहानी नहीं जानता
Translation:
You, who you are, do not understand the meaning of her eye color
Oh friend, this is a story, and you only know it as a story.

اپنی آنکھیں سنبھالیے صاحب
دل کی باتیں بتا رہی ہیں

Apni aankhen sambhaliye sahib
Dil ki baatein bata rahe hain

شراب رب نے حرام کردی
کیوں بنائی پھر حلال آنکھیں
ہزاروں ان پر قتل ہوئے ہیں
خدا کے بندے سنبھال آنکھیں

Ajeeb tha guftago ka aalam
Sawal koi jawab aankhen
Sharab rab ne haram kar di
Kyun banay phir halal aankhen
Hazaaron in par qatal huye hain
Khuda ke banday sambhaal aankhen

अजीब था गुफ्तगू का आलम
सवाल कोई जवाब आँखें
शराब रब ने हराम कर दी
क्यों बनाए फिर हलाल आँखें
हजारों इन पर कत्ल हुए हैं
खुदा के बंदे संभाल आँखें
Translation:
Strange was the world of conversation
Questions, but eyes had the answers
God made wine forbidden
Why then create eyes permissible?
Thousands have been killed for them
God’s creatures, take care of your eyes.

بہت میٹھاس ہے تیرے لہجے میں
ہزار جھوٹ کہو باتیں سچی لگتی ہیں
اب یوں نہ شرماؤ مجھے دیکھ کر
تمہیں پتہ تو ہے مجھے آنکھیں اچھی لگتی ہیں
Roman Urdu:
Bohat meethas hai tere lehje mein
Hazaar jhoot kaho baatein sachi lagti hain
Ab yun na sharmao mujhe dekh kar
Tumhein pata to hai mujhe aankhen achi lagti hain
Hindi:
बहुत मीठास है तेरे लहजे में
हज़ार झूट कहो बातें सची लगती हैं
अब यूँ न शर्माओ मुझे देख कर
तुम्हें पता तो है मुझे आँखें अच्छी लगती हैं
Translation:
There is much sweetness in your accent
Even if you speak a thousand lies, the words feel true
Now, don’t be shy looking at me like this
You know that I find your eyes beautiful.

میں نے کہا پلکیں ہیں یہ
انہوں نے کہا تیر ہے
میں نے کہا آبرو ہے یہ
انہوں نے کہا شمشیر ہے
میں نے کہا بتا ماتھے پہ زلفیں کیوں بل کھاتی ہیں
انہوں نے کہا عاشقوں کے لئے زنجیر ہیں یہ
میں نے کہا تیری فرقت میں تڑپا ہوں میں رات دن
انہوں نے کہا بچ گیا ہے تو تیری تقدیر ہے یہ

Unhon ne kaha teer hai
Maine kaha abro hai yeh
Unhon ne kaha shamsheer hai
Maine kaha bata mathe pe zulfain kyun bal khati hain
Unhon ne kaha aashiqon ke liye zanjeer hain yeh
Maine kaha tere furqat mein tarpa hoon main raat din
Unhon ne kaha bach gaya to teri taqdeer hai yeh

मैंने कहा पलकें हैं ये
उन्होंने कहा तीर है
मैंने कहा आबरू है ये
उन्होंने कहा शमशीर है
मैंने कहा बता माथे पे जुल्फें क्यों बाल खाती हैं
उन्होंने कहा आशिक़ों के लिए ज़ंजीर हैं ये
मैंने कहा तेरी फ़ुर्क़त में तड़पा हूँ मैं रात दिन
उन्होंने कहा बच गया तो तेरी तक़दीर है ये

I said these are eyelashes
She said they are arrows
I said these are your honor
She said they are swords
I said tell me, why do your hair strands kiss your forehead
She said they are chains for lovers
I said I agonize in your separation day and night
She said if I survive, it’s your destiny.
