Mohabbat ke bazar mein zarurat-e-husn koi nahin
Dil jis pe aa jata hai woh sab se haseen lagta hai

मोहब्बत के बाज़ार में ज़रूरत-ए-हुस्न कोई नहीं
दिल जिस पे आ जाता है वो सबसे हसीन लगता है
Translation:
In the marketplace of love, beauty is not a necessity

تُم کو خَبَر ہوئی، نہ زمانہ سَمَجھ سَکا
چُپکے چُپکے ہم تُم پہ کئی بار مَر چُکے
Roman Urdu:
Tum ko khabar hui, na zamana samajh saka
Chupke chupke hum tum pe kai baar mar chuke
Hindi:
तुम को ख़बर हुई, न ज़माना समझ सका
चुपके चुपके हम तुम पे कई बार मर चुके
Translation:
You never knew, nor did the world ever realize
Silently, countless times, we fell for you
Urdu:
تُماری قَدر کرتا ہوں، تُو اِس پر ناز مت کرنا
مُجھے تُم قَتل کر دینا، پر نظر انداز مت کرنا
Roman Urdu:
Tumhari qadr karta hoon, tu is par naaz mat karna
Mujhe tum qatl kar dena, par nazar andaaz mat karna
Hindi:
तुम्हारी क़दर करता हूँ, तू इस पर नाज़ मत करना
मुझे तुम क़त्ल कर देना, पर नज़रअंदाज़ मत करना
Translation:
I value you, but don’t take pride in it
You may kill me, but don’t ignore me

تُم پسند آئے، یہ اِتّفاق تھا
تُم ہی پسند رہ گئے، وہ عِشق تھا

Tum pasand aaye, yeh ittefaq tha

Urdu:
آئینے پر نظر پڑی یکدَم
دیکھا دیکھا کوئی نظر آیا
خاموشی رُوح تک اُتر آئی
تو میری بات میں اَثَر آیا
اُس نے پوچھا کہ کون؟ فہمی کون؟
اور میں سیڑھیاں اُتر آیا
Roman Urdu:
Aaine par nazar pari yakdam
Dekha dekha koi nazar aaya
Khamoshi rooh tak utar aayi
To meri baat mein asar aaya
Us ne poocha ke kaun? Fahmi kaun?
Aur main seerhiyan utar aaya
Hindi:
आइने पर नज़र पड़ी यकदम
देखा देखा कोई नज़र आया
ख़ामोशी रूह तक उतर आई
तो मेरी बात में असर आया
उसने पूछा कि कौन? फहमी कौन?
और मैं सीढ़ियां उतर आया
Translation:
Suddenly, my gaze fell upon the mirror
I saw a familiar face appear
Silence seeped into my soul
And my words began to hold weight
She asked, “Who? Fahmi, who?”
And I quietly descended the stairs

اگر تُو راہِ عِشق میں میرا ہمسَفَر ہو جائے
تو پھر ہِجر کا ہر غم بھی مُجھے گوار ہو جائے
تیری آنکھوں میں چُھپے راز کو سَمَجھ لیتا ہوں
مگر چاہتا ہوں یہ قصّہ سَرِ بازار ہو جائے
Roman Urdu:
Agar tu raah-e-ishq mein mera humsafar ho jaye
To phir hijr ka har gham bhi mujhe gawar ho jaye
Teri aankhon mein chhupe raaz ko samajh leta hoon
Magar chahta hoon yeh qissa sar-e-bazaar ho jaye
Hindi:
अगर तू राह-ए-इश्क़ में मेरा हमसफ़र हो जाए
तो फिर हिज्र का हर ग़म भी मुझे गवार हो जाए
तेरी आँखों में छुपे राज़ को समझ लेता हूँ
मगर चाहता हूँ ये क़िस्सा सर-ए-बाज़ार हो जाए
Translation:
If you become my companion on the path of love
Then even every sorrow of separation will be bearable to me
I understand the secrets hidden in your eyes
But I wish this tale to be revealed in the marketplace

بس تُماری باتوں کا سہارا چاہیے
زِندگی کے ہر غم سے کِنارا چاہیے
دُنیا کے خواب اور خواہِشیں سب فُضُول ہیں
تُماری ہنسی کا نظارہ چاہیے

Bas tumhari baaton ka sahara chahiye
Zindagi ke har gham se kinara chahiye
Duniya ke khwab aur khwahishen sab fazool hain
Tumhari hansi ka nazara chahiye

बस तुम्हारी बातों का सहारा चाहिए
ज़िंदगी के हर ग़म से किनारा चाहिए

I just need the comfort of your words
And refuge from every sorrow of life
