لگتا نہیں اب دل میرا کسی سوال میں
کس کی بنی ہے ایگزامینیشن ہال میں
وقت دراز مانگ کر لائے تھے تین گھنٹے
ایک مختصر میں کٹ گیا اور دو لمبے سوال میں
کنٹرولر سے نہ گلہ نہ ایگزامائنر سے شکوہ
قسمت میں لکھی تھی سپلی اسی سوال میں
ان فارمولوں سے کہو کہ کہیں اور جا بیسیں
اتنی جگہ کہاں، دماغ نہ آسودہ حال میں
کتنا بدنصیب ہے سٹوڈنٹ نقل کے لیے
کاغذ کے دو ٹکڑے نہ ملے پورے ہال میں
Roman Urdu:
Lagta nahin ab dil mera kisi sawal mein
Kis ki bani hai examination hall mein
Waqt daraaz maang kar laye thay teen ghante
Ek mukhtasir mein kat gaya aur do lambay sawal mein
Controller se na gila na examiner se shikwa
Qismat mein likhi thi supply issi sawal mein
In formulas se kaho ke kahin aur ja baisain
Itni jagah kahan, dimaagh na aasooda haal mein
Kitna badnaseeb hai student naqal ke liye
Kagaz ke do tukde na mile poore hall mein
Hindi:
लगता नहीं अब दिल मेरा किसी सवाल में
किस की बनी है एग्ज़ामिनेशन हॉल में
वक़्त दराज़ माँग कर लाए थे तीन घंटे
एक मुख़्तसर में कट गया और दो लंबे सवाल में
कंट्रोलर से न गिला न एग्ज़ामिनर से शिकवा
क़िस्मत में लिखी थी सप्ली इसी सवाल में
इन फ़ॉर्मूलों से कहो कि कहीं और जा बैठें
इतनी जगह कहाँ, दिमाग़ न आसूदा हाल में
कितना बदनसीब है स्टूडेंट नकल के लिए
काग़ज़ के दो टुकड़े न मिले पूरे हॉल में
English Translation:
My heart no longer connects with any question
Who on earth created this examination hall?
We asked for extra time, received three hours
One passed in a short question, the rest in two long ones
No complaints to the controller, nor the examiner
Our fate had the word “supply” written in that very question
Tell these formulas to go settle somewhere else
There’s no room here; my mind isn’t even at ease
How unfortunate is the student, in search of cheating
Not even two scraps of paper found in the entire hall
Urdu:
ہم بھی تھے مجبور حالاتوں کے
اسے بھی اُس کے خدا نے روک لیا
ہم بھی کرنے والے تھے بے وفائی، پھر ہمیں
نیوٹن کے تیسرے لا نے روک لیا
Roman Urdu:
Hum bhi thay majboor halaton ke
Use bhi uske Khuda ne rok liya
Hum bhi karne wale thay bewafai, phir humein
Newton ke teesre law ne rok liya
Hindi:
हम भी थे मजबूर हालातों के
उसे भी उसके ख़ुदा ने रोक लिया
हम भी करने वाले थे बेवफ़ाई, फिर हमें
न्यूटन के तीसरे लॉ ने रोक लिया
English Translation:
We too were helpless due to circumstances
God also stopped them in their tracks
We too were about to be unfaithful, but then
Newton’s third law held us back

Har paper mein sifar aya hai
Hum to chale jaate hain yun hi, munh dhoye baghair

हम तो चले जाते हैं यूँ ही, मुँह धोए बिना
लोग समझते हैं कि सारी रात पढ़ कर आया है
English Translation:
The shadow of studies looms everywhere
Every paper scored a zero
We just show up without even washing our face
Yet people think we studied all night
Urdu:
ہر کلاس کا ایک سی آر ہوتا ہے
زندگی سے وہ بیزار ہوتا ہے
لڑکوں سے بھی بس ٹھیک ہوتا ہے پر
لڑکیوں پر تو جا نثار ہوتا ہے
ہمدرد ہے لڑکوں کا صرف باتوں میں
عاداتوں سے تو وہ جی آر ہوتا ہے
Roman Urdu:
Har class ka ek CR hota hai
Zindagi se woh bezaar hota hai
Larkon se bhi bas theek hota hai par
Larkiyon par to ja nisar hota hai
Hamdard hai larkon ka sirf baaton mein
Aadaton se to wo GR hota hai
Hindi:
हर क्लास का एक सीआर होता है
ज़िंदगी से वह बेज़ार होता है
लड़कों से भी बस ठीक होता है पर
लड़कियों पर तो जान निसार होता है
हमदर्द है लड़कों का सिर्फ़ बातों में
आदतों से तो वह जीआर होता है
English Translation:
Every class has a CR
He’s usually tired of life
He’s just fine with the boys, but
For girls, he’s all heart and sacrifice
He sympathizes with boys only in talk
But in his ways, he’s more like a GR
Urdu:
اُدھر رزلٹ کا اعلان ہوگا
اِدھر دل ہمارا ہلکان ہوگا
ویسے تو مرضی ہے انکی
اگر پاس کر دیں تو احسان ہوگا
Roman Urdu:
Udhar result ka elaan hoga
Idhar dil hamara hulkaan hoga
Waise to marzi hai unki
Agar paas kar dein to ehsaan hoga
Hindi:
उधर रिज़ल्ट का एलान होगा
इधर दिल हमारा हल्कान होगा
वैसे तो मर्ज़ी है उनकी
अगर पास कर दें तो एहसान होगा
English Translation:
There, the result will be announced
Here, our hearts will be in distress
